This handle can be attached to the wire in two different ways. Via the hook on the handle at the front and via the metal hook at the back.
Power connection
By tying a loop in the electric fence, it can be easily attached to the eye in the handle. Via the hook on the handle at the front, the current is not transmitted, but via the metal hook at the back it is. This is useful if you want to attach the handle to, for example, a piece of mesh. By using the orange hook, you do not pass the current from the reel to the mesh fence. In situation where it is desired to pass on the current, the metal hook can be used.
Ergonomic design
The design of the hook ensures that it does not slip off the wire. With its contoured design, the handle fits comfortably in the hand and prevents shock.
Coiling the wire with low resistance
A gate handle easily gets caught behind (long) grass or tracks due to its design. The streamlined design of the handle ensures that the wire can be easily rolled up through the (long) grass. This while it still offers enough resistance to roll up the wire tightly.
